Lauren Stowe joins Silverado Policy Accelerator

Silverado Policy Accelerator is thrilled to welcome Lauren Stowe to its team as Silverado's general counsel and senior climate policy advisor.

Ms. Stowe is an accomplished attorney and trade negotiation with an extensive background in trade and the environment. Beginning in 2011, Ms. Stowe worked at the U.S. State Department and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative on environmental policy and economic security issues. She later served as Deputy Assistant USTR for Environment, where she led implementation of the Environment Chapters of the U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement and USMCA. She was also a senior negotiator to the U.S. delegation to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer from 2014 to 2018.

Ms. Stowe began her career in international development and public policy, working throughout Latin America and Africa on environmental, social, and economic policy programs. Ms. Stowe received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Colorado, Boulder, her Masters in Public Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University, and her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.

At Silverado, Ms. Stowe will advise our work in the pillars of Trade and Industrial Security and Eco²Sec, in addition to serving as Silverado's general counsel.
