Plan Your Summer Intern Watch Party for "Silverado Leadership and Service Forum"

06/17/2022 | Silverado Policy Accelerator

Calling all summer interns — in Washington, D.C. and beyond!

On June 29, Silverado Policy Accelerator is teaming up with Google to host the "Silverado Leadership and Service Forum: Portraits in Public Service and National Security," a special discussion for interns and young professionals working in public policy and national security. The event will feature Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines and Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco in discussion with CBS News' Olivia Gazis, speaking live from Google's D.C. headquarters, as they discuss the paths they took to reach their leadership positions and share their thoughts on the most pressing national security issues of our day. At the end of their conversation, the panelists will answer questions from interns working in public service and national security from around the country.

Here's how you can get involved by hosting an affiliated watch party:

Step 1: Get a group of interns together from your office or organization — no matter the size — and fill out a brief registration form at this link. (Be sure to submit a question for the panelists when you register — we will be accepting questions until 48 hours before the start of the event.)

Step 2: Tune in live to the discussion via this YouTube livestream at 5:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 29.

Step 3: During the event, tweet a picture of your watch party with the hashtag #LeadershipandServiceForum and tag us @SilveradoPolicy for a special retweet.

Step 4: Settle in for a lively discussion featuring career advice from some of the country's most accomplished public servants, and be sure to stay until they answer audience questions at the end of the program!

In the meantime, please reach out to us as info@silverado.org with any questions.
