Silverado has been ringing the alarm bell on China’s burgeoning capacity and exports of foundational chips since 2023, and was pleased to present testimony to the Commission in 2025 on why these chips are the core of our modern economy and ways to counter China’s predatory practices, including through the use of component tariffs and the creation of a Know Your Chip (KYC) regime.
Silverado is thankful to the Commission for their leadership on this issue and for including reference to Silverado’s testimony in its report at page 499.
