SubscribeSilverado Policy Accelerator, in partnership with The Embassy of Republic of Poland and The Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM), co-hosted “Strengthening Transatlantic Minerals Cooperation for a Resilient and Competitive Economy”— a high-level convening focused on advancing U.S.-EU collaboration on critical minerals through innovation in processing and recovery.
The event opened with remarks from:

Bogdan Klich, Minister Plenipotentiary and Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Poland in the U.S.

Władysław Bartoszewski, Secretary of State, Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Ruth Bajada, Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to the United States
The program featured four dynamic panels spotlighting transatlantic cooperation:

Sarah Stewart of Silverado set the direction on U.S.-EU mineral policy priorities in conversation with Sushan Demirjian(USTR) and Krzysztof Galos, Undersecretary of State and Chief National Geologist at the Ministry of Climate and Environment of Poland.

Mahnaz Khan of Silverado led a deep dive into the G7 Critical Minerals Action Plan and multilateral frameworks alongside Francesco Maria Graziani (EU Delegation to the United States), Scott Woodard (U.S. State Department), andMark York (U.S. Department of Defense).

Amanda Dziubińska of PISM explored private sector innovation in processing technologies with Marek Bednarz(KGHM International), Brian Gabriel (Lockheed Martin), and Alex S. (Albemarle).

Szymon Zaręba of PISM moderated a session on mapping a transatlantic mineral recovery roadmap featuring Mike Hollomon (U.S. Strategic Metals), Kristi Rogers (PRISM), Hugo Schumann (Elemental USA), and Helaina Matza(TechMet Ltd).

With the EU Presidency passing from Poland to Denmark today, Ambassador Jesper Møller Sørensen closed the day with a forward-looking message reaffirming the EU's commitment to global minerals cooperation and secure supply chains.
