U.S. IT Infrastructure Equipment Supply Chains: Project Introduction

06/02/2025 |Silverado Policy Accelerator

Silverado’s research project on IT infrastructure will examine the key equipment used in IT infrastructure, including the hardware and other equipment used in facilities such as data centers. The analysis will start at the major component level (e.g., servers) and then cover the various layers of the component supply chain (e.g., printed circuit board assemblies, semiconductors). Servers will be the starting point given their large share of data center construction costs.

Research will be published in a series of short reports and data dashboards.
