SubscribeThe United States is a significant steel manufacturer, consumer, and importer, with U.S. producers participating in each stage of the steel manufacturing value chain. The U.S. steel industry is also widely distributed across the country, with establishments in many states engaged in producing raw steel and/or purchasing steel to produce other steel mill products. This report, a follow-up to Silverado’s report Steel Mill Products: U.S. Production and Trade, examines the current state of iron and steel production at the state level.
